A new, 20,000 square foot new library branch is being planned for Parsons Avenue. Check out this recent Dispatch story for more info.
I had the honor of speaking briefly this morning at the ribbon cutting for the new Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shop, at 505 East Livingston Avenue, just west of Jiffy Lube and Scrambler Marie's. Angela Pace from WBNS 10 TV did a fine job herding the cats with various dignitaries and guests. Most importantly, I purchased a tasty steak and egg breakfast sandwich combo, a nice way to start my day! Robert and Dawn Tyler Lee have a great place here, I anticipate it will be a popular addition to our South Columbus food scene. I'm sure that the drive-through will be busy, and inside it has a small but nice seating area, complete with some plush chairs and a fireplace. Check it out! 24 hours too.
New trees are going to be planted this Fall on Parsons Avenue. According to Joe Sulak, City Forester, Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, the species planted will be: Trident Maple, ‘Merlot’ Bird Cherry, ‘Frans Fontaine’ Hornbeam, ‘Ivory Silk’ Tree Lilac. Many thanks to the City of Columbus for their support!!!!!
