http://www.columbusunderground.com/three-story-village-pointe-project-under-construction-on-parsons-avenue-bw1 ![]() The new John Maloney Health & Wellness Center is being dedicated at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013. A sculpture by John Sunami will be a permanent fixture in the atrium of the new John Maloney Health Center on Parsons Avenue. Elements of the sculpture recall the neighborhood's history, including Hungarian Church and the South Side Settlement House. Had a great community dinner last night, sponsored by Nationwide Children's Hospital. Huge turnout, diverse and enthusiastic crowd, great meal provided by the hospital. Here are a couple clips from the awards, thanks to Michael Riches, PAMA Trustee. /uploads/1/1/0/8/11082676/img_2027.mov is the award of Southsider of the Year Award to Sherri Palmer of Keep Columbus Beautiful. /uploads/1/1/0/8/11082676/img_2029.mov is the award of Charitable Organization Award to Southside STAY. We've just added our first video, where I explain why we created this website, and how we hope that people will be able to benefit from using this website. Check it out, you'll see me squinting in the sunlight, standing in one of South Columbus' coolest places, the Grange Insurance Audubon Center in the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. It's a great park, with everything from birding to rock climbing to a new obstacle course funded by the Columbus Rotary Club. And, it's easily accessible, just south of downtown, in the Brewery District neighborhood, one of South Columbus' oldest neighborhoods.

I have added many more links and have continued to work design and functionality issues on the pages. I will be presenting the website design and content tonight to the PAMA Board of Trustees for their input. |
